INGREDIENTS
FOR HANDVO BATTER:
rice -40 Grams
chana dal,toor dal,urad dal, moong dal- 40 grams
yogurt- 50 grams
bottle gourd-100 GM grated
carrot- 100 gmgrated
coriander, finely chopped
ginger paste
green chilli-2 finely chopped
red chilli powder
turmeric
Ghee - 5 gram
salt

FOR TEMPERING:
Ghee
mustard
cumin
pinch of asafoetida

Method:

Firstly, soak rice, chana dal, toor dal,urad dal for 3-4 hours.
Add yoghurt and blend to a smooth but slightly coarse paste.
ADD grated bottle gourd, grated carrot and coriander.
Add ginger paste, green chilli, chilli powder, turmeric, GHEE and salt.
Mix well making sure the batter is slightly thick like idli batter consistency.
Cook the handvo in low flame. It will take around 20 minutes for one side. You can bake it in oven also.
